Score Your Free Kicks
Free Kicks Are Easy In FUT15
If you’re not finishing your free kicks often than you probably haven’t got an accurate understanding of how the free kicks work in FIFA 15. The higher you up you hold the left analog stick during the free kick the more the ball will dip and the straighter to the right or left you hold the stick the more the ball will curve in that direction. Finding the right balance of shot power, aim and dip/curve is the key to getting the ball where you desire. Hit the ball too hard and it won’t dip or curve much. Hit it too soft and it may curve or dip too much.
Distance Matters
knowing how far you are from goal is probably the most important factor. Anything around or over 32 yards will require a power free kick. Knowing which players can pull off the power free kick is also key. If you don’t have a player that has the power free kick trait, then your second best option is usually a player with the long shot trait (just make sure his shot power & curve ratings are over 84 for best results).
Angle Of Attack Matters
If the free kick is being taken from anywhere other then the center of the field then you have to start think about curving the ball towards goal. Usually you would want to take a free kick from the right side with a left footed player and a free kick from the left side with a right footed player. This rule can and should be broken if you have a great free kick taker like Gareth Bale for example. He can score them from almost anywhere. You can score a free kick from the same spot with two different techniques, so there’s no one way to take any given free kick. Experimentation is key until you find what’s comfortable for you.
Ovvy Shows Us How
Ovvy made a very informative video on all the different types of free kicks. Check it out and practice. You should be very confident when you get a free kick in a dangerous position. I would say a good conversion rate is around 45% – 55% from dangerous spots.
