FUT Transfer Market Change!
Wow! Today was kind of a historic day. No more FUT coin sellers. EA set min. and max. prices for every FUT player in the market and POOF! coin buying is done. Just like that.
The FUT price range change is what they’re calling it, but a better name might be Coin buying and selling killer change. I don’t know how I feel about the way EA went about this. Sure I don’t believe in cheating. I personally had never bought coin before in any FUT game until about January of 2015. Prices were so ridiculously inflated that it was just not fair to people like me who had spent $1000’s on FUT points and yet still didn’t have enough coin to buy the players I want. So I crossed over to the dark side and bought some coin. Just once. But I did it. I bought a ton of coin and picked up the two players I wanted. So in a way I’m glad coin buying is gone because it’s not the way I like to play. With that said seeing as how inflated prices still are I think EA should’ve also drop the price on FIFA Points. There’s no reason to buy FIFA Points to open packs at the price they’re at now. If you dream of owning a Ronaldo, he still costs over 6 million in coin. Do you know how many FIFA Packs you need to open to reach 6 mil in coin? I can tell you from experience (because I’ve wasted $1000’s on packs) that for each 12,000 Fifa points (80 x 150 point packs) I average around 300k – 650k in coins gained. That’s a big range, but this isn’t and will never be an exact science. At that rate unless you pack an incredibly rare card (Bergkamp, Messi, Gullit, etc..) you would have to open 120,000 – 240,000 FIFA Points worth of packs!!!! That’s a stupid amount of money for one player. Lets say you pack something nice while opening those packs and that rare player gets you 2 mil in coin on the market, you would still need another 60,000 – 150,000 FIFA Points worth of packs to get the extra 4 mil you need for Ronaldo. Still stupid amount of money for one player. As SpencerFC will tell you in this video, the only way EA will make packs more affordable is if they sell a very low amount of FIFA Points forcing them to drop the price. So if you want EA to do the right thing and make FIFA Points more affordable for a game you already paid good money for just to play, Then don’t buy any FIFA Points. I know it’s hard because the mere act of opening packs is addicting, just fight the urge to buy FIFA Points. You wanna open packs? Use the coins from your winnings, not FIFA Points. The only outcome of buying FIFA Points is that EA releases FIFA 16 with Price ranges on players and FIFA Points stay pricey. Sure Ronaldo will be worth less in FUT 16 but do you think EA is gonna make him affordable? NO WAY! unless they realize that the customers, the fans, US, we are fed up with paying tons of money just to pack Bullshit cards, while only a handful out of hundreds or thousands of players actually pack players worth the money we’re spending. If you boycott FIFA Points now, maybe.. just maybe.. EA will take a humble approach to pricing their FIFA Points or the actual players price ranges. I have no problem with eliminating cheaters. I do have a problem with throwing money down the drain on trash I don’t want, which is what we usually get in packs. I discard over 90% of the crap I get in each and every pack. Why pay for stuff you don’t want? Besides gambling and slot machines are illegal in most countries where FUT is being played and opening packs isn’t much different than slot machines. okay I’m done. Enjoy Spencer FC’s take on this change, he’s a smart guy in my opinion.
