Attacking Tutorial: The Target Man

FIFA 15 is a tactical game yet unfortunately most players I come up against online only score in one of three simple ways.  (1) The lobbed thru ball, which can be very effective when used correctly but most players just lob them in time and time again until they get one that connects.  I myself don’t understand why people play this way.  Seems boring to me.  I use the lobbed thru ball in each and every game I play but not on every play.  I would even say I use it in less then half of my plays and for the most part it’s used to release my wingers.  (2) The quick counter.  Probably the most effective way to score in FUT 15 is the quick counter, if you manage to take the ball from your opponent somewhere in midfield.  His players will be on their back foot and some quick passes should get one of your players in behind your opponents back line.  (3) Dead ball situations (corner kicks and free kicks).  This shouldn’t really need an explanation. *Forgot to mention the cross and header, also effective but not effective enough to abuse and very elementary if you ask me.

In the following video, Ovvy has put together an attacking tutorial which I would say is used most often by good FUT players. Building up an attack by tricky dribbling and possession minded passing until you find your striker who then tries to do something clever to get an opportunity on goal. As I have said before to be a great FUT player you should really practice and learn the basic skill moves that prove to be very effective for creating space or eluding tackles.  They are the Drag back, the Body feint, and the Ball roll.  If you feel comfortable with these three very simple skill moves then you should aspire to create those classy plays that lead to goals as Ovvy shows on this video.
